As this is a mock project intended to explore AI, I want the focus to be on showcasing AI specific requirements so I intentionally left out the standard UXD processes

I explored innovative ways AI could be implemented in different parts of the process and what could be generated with different aspects of data

Input

  • Name, age, medical history, preferences, and other relevant personal details.

  • Health records, fertility test results, and any relevant medical information provided by the user

  • User preferences related to long-term goals, career aspirations, and lifestyle choices.

  • Data from user interactions with the software, such as clicks, searches, and time spent on different sections.

  • Preferred dates and times for virtual consultations with healthcare professionals.

  • User participation in community discussions, sharing experiences, and engagement level.

  • User inputs related to emotional well-being, mood tracking, and feedback on emotional support tools

  3. Dynamic Journey Timeline > Generative AI algorithms for real-time tracking of treatment progress; offer dynamic visualizations and updates on egg freezing journey to empower users and provide a sense of control

The profile settings are important in ethically collecting data and making users feel in-control and safe

  1. Personal Info > Foundational info needed to generate AI responses

  2. Privacy Settings > Very easy to access; want the user to feel that it’s not hidden. Due to AI’s newness, user’s have apprehension around their security; intentionally made it easy to access to build user’s trust

Adding AI to all parts of the appointment journey helps: alleviate confusion for the patient, the medical team be more productive + negates repetitive phone calls for clarification or reminders

  1. Smart Reminders, Alerts + Actions to Take > Generative AI for intelligent reminders, alerts and actions to take. Generate context-aware reminders for medication schedules, appointments, and lifestyle adjustments, considering the user's daily routine and preferences

  2. Virtual Consultations + After Visit Summaries > Use AI to assist healthcare professionals by providing summarized user information and insights. Enable real-time analysis of user questions and concerns to offer relevant information during consultations

The community aspect is a huge part of what makes Elsa so special

They generate discussion prompts, facilitate virtual meetups, and suggest articles based on individual needs, fostering a supportive online environment. Collaborative filtering recommends connections and discussions aligned with user profiles, while machine learning analyzes interactions to enhance suggestions over time.
