hi, i’m emmy demi

I’ve done the hard part for you.

Everything I teach is based on Stanford University’s Design Thinking Methodology aka using objective data to validate your ideas…but that sounds scary + intimating…

So, I took these complex concepts and translated them into simplified, easy to digest nuggets of wisdom that you can easily apply today.

(click each “+” sign for the answer)

my WHY

After launching my own design studio business and working with 50+ small businesses, I realized, most people invest TONS into a business idea without doing any type of objective testing prior.

After introducing my clients to my idea testing methodology, they couldn’t believe what I was showing them. It was easy, objective and gave them the tools to create a better biz with higher sales.

I took my exact process and turned it into an affordable course - I can’t express how life-changing and eye-opening this methodology is - I can’t wait to share it with you!

digital biz

situation: yoga teacher wants to sell online class videos

teacher a

  • Replicates what they see other teachers doing
  • Creates a yoga video series
  • Promotes on IG with generic messaging
  • Some people buy, not a success
  • Waste of time and energy because not enough of a ROI

teacher b

  • Uses New Biz Idea Bootcamp to understands their students’ needs
  • Realizes it’s a pain for her students to drive to class in the rain
  • Uses data to create a yoga video series specifically for when it’s raining (think: cozy poses)
  • Students buy because it solves their personal + relevant problem of wanting yoga from them, but not wanting to drive in the rain
  • There’s a niche + a demand
  • Teacher B posts about her video series every time it rains
  • They are now able to create passive income from the students that otherwise would not attend class

physical biz

situation: beauty brand wants to create a night creme

teacher a

  • Performs no form of idea testing
  • Replicates what they see other brands doing
  • Create a night creme
  • Nothing too special about it besides the usuals
  • Ends up on clearance rack at TJMaxx in 1 year

teacher b

  • Realizes it’s not the night creme itself, but customers have a problem sticking with it consistency
  • Expands thinking + creates an app that allow users to check in every time they complete their night face routine + they earn points to cash in for discounts on new products or exchange for a social give back program
  • Consumers are now motivated to complete their nightly skin routine, as a result:
  • They have nicer skin since use the product more, so there is more brand loyalty
  • They use more of the product, so need to buy more to replace
  • They receive a discount, more of an incentive to buy
  • They feel good about the social give back
  • There is brand loyalty to the product as it is now a habitual nightly routine

service-based biz

situation: reiki master wants to add new service

teacher a

  • Creates packaged sessions
  • Gets bookings, but has a hard time standing out from competition

teacher b

  • Uses New Biz Idea Bootcamp and understands their customers’ needs
  • Realizes milestones are a really important trend for when new clients reach out for reiki sessions
  • Creates a reiki session specifically for milestones (breakups, birthdays, anniversaries)
  • The reiki milestone package is sold as the perfect gift for your spiritually connected friend
  • Sales double because people are buying for themselves but also their loved ones
  • Referrals expand as well

  • Want to quickly launch their product rather than investing time into creating something that will sell and scale sustainably

What is the exact breakdown of the content / modules?

This is the exact process that is taught through step-by-step tutorials + written explanations on an easy-to-use online course platform so you never feel overwhelmed or lost

  1. Understand: Use new methodologies to reallllly figure out who you’re creating for
  2. Define: After you’ve interviewed your people, dive deeper to understand user needs, current problems + identity goals
  3. Ideate: Based on the insights collected, use an open mind to brainstorm ideas or expand upon current ones

I don't need to learn more things / I'm too busy to learn another process - why do I need Small Biz Idea Bootcamp?

This isn't about learning—it's about doing. It's about testing and applying the insights to improve your product. And once you've done it once, you can do it to every aspect of your product, from the packaging to the way you design your product page.

I'm going to launch it first, and then once I've made money I'll improve the UX. I just want to get it out there fast before someone else steals my idea - I can't wait!

Is it more important to you to create a product that people want, that solves their problems and provides a great experience, or to just get it out there? Small Biz Idea Bootcamp gives you confidence because you have a guarantee that your product will be a success. How much would it cost you to completely redesign your product after you've launched it?

I don’t have a scientific brain / I'm not good with tech. Can I still keep up?

Small Biz Idea Bootcamp is about listening, understanding + empatheszing with your user, and then creating from there.
If you're techy enough to create an Instagram Reel you're techy enough to do Small Biz Idea Bootcamp.

How hard is this course?

I designed it to be really easy + user-friendly!! But, of course, it does take commitment + time to achieve the results. A good way I like to look at it is: Do you know what's harder than Small Biz Idea Bootcamp? Investing time and money into creating a product that nobody wants / that doesn't serve the purpose.

I don’t want to spend the money / I need the money for branding, Facebook ads. How do I know it's a good investment?

Here's some rhetorical questions - how much is it costing you to skip testing your ieaa? How much would it cost you to completely redesign your product after you've launched it? It's not about spending money on a "nice to have" thing, it's about investing in the certainty that your idea will succeed

No one else I know is doing this - I’m not sure it’s really needed?

Nobody else is talking about it because it's not a sexy part of launching a product / the results aren't visual like branding is. Tons of businesses are doing idea testing - search "product testing" on Tiktok and let your mind be blown!! (Adias, Nike, etc). Maybe that's why 20% of new businesses fail—because they aren't testing.

An influencer had a successful product launch, so that's proof that mine will be too. I already have evidence.

The thing with influencers is that people often would buy literally anything the influencer created, regardless of what it is. This doesn't mean it's a good product or that there's actually a market for it.

What if I have a question while watching the recorded videos. How can I contact you?

That's the reason for the live + recorded office hours. After reviewing your materials + doing the homework, you can come to me with any questions and I'll answer them for you.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes! Small Biz Idea Bootcamp can either be paid in full ($247 USD) or split into installments (up to 6 payments of $49 USD). Each payment will be set up on auto-pay.

What is Stanford's Design Thinking metholodgy?

Design thinking is a non-linear, iterative process that teams use to understand users, challenge assumptions, redefine problems and create innovative solutions to prototype and test. Involving five phases—Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype and Test—it is most useful to tackle problems that are ill-defined or unknown.
