Methods + Rationale:

  1. Madlib:

    • Helps participants to feel more comfortable in the hopes of more honest answers + novel ideas with a playful, informal environment

  2. I Like, I Wish, What If:

    • Identifies risks

    • Stimulates creativity by exploring unconventional ideas, fostering innovative problem-solving

    • Highlights user frustrations; enables refinement of exaggerated ideas into viable, user-friendly solutions

  3. Worst Possible Idea

    • Allows participants to generate intentionally bad ideas, leading to innovative and unconventional solutions

    • Participants feel more comfortable sharing ideas without fear of judgement, promoting open collaboration

    • Reveals hidden challenges and biases

    • Promotes risk-taking and iteration
