04 / Test + Feedback

Presenting to Users / Stakeholders
This was a special situation where the stakeholders were also the users of the tool. During the design presentation, I asked questions and received user feedback. Although the stakeholders were known to be tough, I was ready to present my designs. They LOVED it! My project manager was impressed, noting that in her four years with those stakeholders, she had never seen a design review go so well.

Feedback from Users / Stakeholders
From the meeting, as I walked through my designs, there were 2 outstanding roadblocks to address to eliminate confusion

  1. Toggle button

  2. Refining CC Filters

I Accredit My Success to:

  1. Having a super strong research process (reallllly understanding the users’ wants and needs β€” not just making assumptions on what I thought they wanted and needed)

  2. Including the stakeholders from the beginning of the process β€” I believe it made them feel apart of the process and I was able to directly show how I created a solution to their exact piece of feedback

  3. Having strong storytelling techniques to make them understand my design decisions against research β€” having them see the WHY behind my decisions

Skills:

βœ”οΈ Communication + Storytelling
βœ”οΈ Defending Design Decisions
